Hot Tapping
Install Additional Lines Under Pressure Without Interrupting the Service
Hot Tapping requires a tapping machine, a full-port valve and a pressure-contained fitting or split tee attached (usually welded) to the existing pressurized system.
This is also referred as wet tapping.
Hot Tapping is performed utilizing a cutting machine
designed and
built for this industry. This process helps to accelerate a projects schedule by avoiding the draining of costly fluids and/or gases. We can perform taps on systems from vacuum to 2000 PSI and from cryogenic to 1500 degrees F. This service can be performed on most pipes and tanks.
